Program / Workshop Testimonials

It was such a pleasure to have Noppadol Paothong as our keynote speaker at the Prairies and Pineywoods BirdFest in Mount Vernon, Texas.

His stunning images and storytelling of his decade-long journey to capture the beautiful sights and sounds of the grouse and prairie chicken was a huge crowd pleaser, and everyone walked away with amazement from his presentation.

To quote our State Ornithologist, Clifford Shackelford, “I have been doing this for 25 years and have seen hundreds of presentations and this is, by far, the BEST I’ve ever seen.”

Thank you for spreading the word about preserving this amazing species of birds. Your photos, along with the recorded sounds of the birds, was like being on a lek at the crack of dawn.

Donna McFarland

Chairperson, BirdFest

Once Nop began to narrate and explain the plight of the Grassland Grouse and his goal to photograph and document these magnificent grassland birds, the audience became mesmerized by the beauty of these creatures in a well executed production by a naturalist and photographer who truly has a passion for his subject.

Everyone who attended walked away with a renewed ethic of bird conservation and none of us will ever look at a grassland habitat quite the same way again.

One participant said, “I am moved to take action and I will.” That was the general sentiment of many of the landowners. Thank you Nop for opening our eyes to the need for conservation and what one person can do to make a difference.

Mike Doyen

President, Ozark Rivers Audubon Chapter

Noppadol has that rare talent of engaging an audience on a personal and emotional level.  While his outstanding photography speaks for itself, Nop’s message is equally moving.

His testimony on behalf of wildlife is both heartfelt and inspirational, sobering and humorous, retrospective and hopeful.  His professionalism is only surpassed by his genuine nature and evident passion for what he does.

Organizer, Nebraska Prairie Chicken Festival

Save the Last Dance is a spectacular depiction of one of the West’s most iconic species. Noppadol’s considerable skill as a photographer is exceeded only by his passion for the wildlife he captures.

As a conservation organization, it is important for our members to feel a connection to the wildlife we work to protect. We were lucky enough to host Noppadol for a Colorado book tour and his presentation has motivated our activists and inspired our donors. Thank you Noppadol for sharing your stories and passion with Conservation Colorado.

The images in your presentation were delightful expansions of the images being shown on the walls. All guests  enjoyed the work and all came away with a deeper understanding of the patience and commitment required for a photographer undertaking the subject of wildlife imagery. Thank you for your willingness to share your expertise with our St. Louis audience.
